Getting Started

How do I upload a PDF to edit? +

Simply drag and drop your PDF file onto the editor, or click the "Open PDF" button to select a file from your computer. PDFox supports PDF files up to 50MB in size.

Do I need to create an account? +

No! PDFox works without any account or registration. Just open the editor and start working on your PDFs immediately. If you purchase Pro access, we only need minimal payment information.

What browsers are supported? +

PDFox works on all modern browsers including:

  • Google Chrome (recommended)
  • Mozilla Firefox
  • Microsoft Edge
  • Safari
  • Opera

For best performance, we recommend using the latest version of Chrome or Firefox.

Is my data secure? +

Absolutely. Your documents are processed using 256-bit AES encryption. Files are automatically deleted from our servers within 24 hours. We never store, analyze, or share your document content.

Editing PDFs

How do I add text to a PDF? +

Select the "Add Text" tool from the toolbar, then click anywhere on your PDF where you want to add text. Type your content, and use the formatting options to change font, size, and color.

How do I add a signature? +

Click the "Signature" tool in the toolbar. You can:

  • Draw your signature using your mouse or touchpad
  • Type your name and select a signature style
  • Upload an image of your signature

Once created, click on the PDF to place your signature. You can resize and reposition it as needed.

Can I edit existing text in a PDF? +

Yes! Use the "Edit Text" tool to modify existing text in your PDF. Click on any text element to select it, then edit the content directly. Note: Some PDFs with complex formatting or scanned documents may have limitations.

How does AI text recognition work? +

Our AI-powered OCR (Optical Character Recognition) automatically detects and extracts text from scanned documents and images within your PDF. This makes it possible to edit, search, and copy text from documents that were originally just images.

How do I save my edited PDF? +

Click the "Save" or "Download" button in the toolbar. Your edited PDF will be downloaded to your computer. With Free access, exports include a small PDFox watermark. Pro users get clean, watermark-free exports.

Pro Access & Billing

What's the difference between Free and Pro? +

Free access includes all editing features, but exported PDFs have a small PDFox watermark. Pro access removes all watermarks, enables document sharing, and provides priority processing. Pro costs just €2.99 for 24 hours of unlimited use.

How does the 24-hour Pro access work? +

When you purchase Pro access, you get unlimited use of all features for 24 hours from the moment of activation. Edit and export as many PDFs as you want during this period, completely watermark-free.

What payment methods do you accept? +

We accept all major payment methods through Stripe:

  • Credit/Debit cards (Visa, Mastercard, Amex)
  • Apple Pay
  • Google Pay
How do I recover my Pro access on a new device? +

If you need to access Pro on a different device or browser, use the "Recover Access" option. Enter the email address and receipt number from your payment confirmation to restore your Pro access.

Can I get a refund? +

If you experience technical issues that prevent you from using PDFox, please contact our support team. We handle refund requests on a case-by-case basis and are committed to ensuring customer satisfaction.

Troubleshooting

My PDF won't upload. What should I do? +

Try these solutions:

  • Check that your file is a valid PDF (not corrupted)
  • Ensure the file is under 50MB
  • Try a different browser
  • Clear your browser cache and refresh
  • Disable browser extensions that might interfere
The editor is running slowly. How can I fix this? +

For better performance:

  • Close other browser tabs to free up memory
  • Use Chrome or Firefox for best performance
  • For large PDFs (50+ pages), be patient during initial loading
  • Ensure you have a stable internet connection
My changes aren't saving. What's wrong? +

PDFox automatically saves your session in your browser. If changes aren't persisting:

  • Make sure you're not using incognito/private browsing mode
  • Don't clear browser data while working
  • Always download your final PDF to save permanently
The text looks different after editing. Why? +

If fonts appear different, the original PDF may use fonts not available in your browser. PDFox will substitute with the closest matching font. For best results with text editing, use common fonts like Arial, Times New Roman, or Helvetica.

I can't access my Pro features after payment. +

If Pro access isn't working after payment:

  • Wait a few seconds and refresh the page
  • Use the "Recover Access" feature with your receipt number
  • Check your email for the payment confirmation
  • Contact us through the support form with your receipt number
