At PDFox, we take your privacy seriously. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle your information when you use our PDF editing service.

1. What Stays on Your Device

PDFox operates entirely in your browser:

Your PDF files stay on your machine — they are never sent to our servers
Your document content is processed locally — only your browser sees it
Your edits remain in your browser session — close the tab and they are gone

2. What We May Collect

Payment Information: If you purchase Pro access, payment is processed securely through Stripe. We don't store credit card numbers.
Basic Analytics: Anonymous usage statistics (pages visited, features used) to improve the service
Support Communications: Information you provide when contacting us

3. Cookies

We use minimal cookies for:

Session management - Keeping you logged in
Preferences - Remembering your settings
Analytics - Understanding usage patterns (can be disabled)

4. Third-Party Services

Stripe - Payment processing
Cloudflare - CDN and security

These services have their own privacy policies and handle data according to industry standards.

5. GDPR Compliance

PDFox is GDPR-compliant by architecture, not just by policy. Since your files are processed entirely in your browser and never reach our servers, there is no personal document data for us to manage, protect, or disclose. You have the right to:

Access any personal data we have (limited to payment records if applicable)
Request deletion of your account and associated data
Opt out of analytics tracking

6. Data Security

Since your documents never leave your device, they're protected by your own device's security. For any data we do handle (like payment info), we use industry-standard encryption and security practices.
