PDF.js - Mozilla's open-source PDF renderer runs entirely in-browser

pdf-lib - Pure JavaScript library for PDF creation and modification

Tesseract.js - OCR engine compiled to WebAssembly for local text recognition

Canvas API - Native browser rendering for annotations and drawings

IndexedDB - Optional local storage that never syncs to any server

HTTPS Only - All assets served securely via Cloudflare

At PDFox, we take your privacy seriously. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle your information when you use our PDF editing service.

1. What We Don't Collect

Because PDFox operates entirely in your browser:

We don't receive your PDF files - They never leave your device
We don't see your document content - All processing is local
We don't store your edits - Everything stays in your browser

2. What We May Collect

Payment Information: If you purchase Pro access, payment is processed securely through Stripe. We don't store credit card numbers.
Basic Analytics: Anonymous usage statistics (pages visited, features used) to improve the service
Support Communications: Information you provide when contacting us

3. Cookies

We use minimal cookies for:

Session management - Keeping you logged in
Preferences - Remembering your settings
Analytics - Understanding usage patterns (can be disabled)

4. Third-Party Services

Stripe - Payment processing
Cloudflare - CDN and security

These services have their own privacy policies and handle data according to industry standards.

5. Your Rights

You have the right to:

Access any personal data we have (mostly just payment records if applicable)
Request deletion of your account and associated data
Opt out of analytics tracking

6. Data Security

Since your documents never leave your device, they're protected by your own device's security. For any data we do handle (like payment info), we use industry-standard encryption and security practices.
